BMA365 Bamberg Baskets head into the FIBA break on a roll as they fought past EWE Baskets Oldenburg 103-89 on the road. Bamberg used the momentum from reaching the German Cup TOP FOUR by registering their fifth win in the last six games - including two wins in the cup - for a 4-3 league record. Isi Watson led the way with 21 points while Cobe Williams had 16 points in the win. Oldenburg were unable to build on their own cup victory and fell to 1-7 despite a 50th consecutive sell-out in the EWE Arena. Michael Kyser poured in 17 points in the loss.

Game Summary: Brian Fobbs and Chris Clemons both hit two three-pointers as Oldenburg opened a 16-11 lead. Bamberg answered with the next nine points and knocked down two triples of their own and were up up 28-24 after 10 minutes. Oldenburg started better in the second quarter with a 17-4 surge to pull ahead 41-32. Bamberg made defensive adjustments and buried three triples to close within 49-48. But it was Oldenburg who were up 52-48 at halftime.
The third stanza was close throughout and Bamberg knocked down five three-pointers and held a four-point lead at 68-64 and led 71-68 after 30 minutes. Oldenburg were down 76-73 when Bamberg went on an 8-2 spurt and an 11-0 run in the closing minutes made it 99-82 to decide the game.

Numbers Please: Bamberg shot 60 percent from the field, including 70 percent on two-pointers, committed only 8 turners and had a 13-2 advantage in fast break points.

Player of the Game: Isi Watson did a bit of everything for Bamberg with 21 points on 9 of 13 shots, including 3 three-pointers, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

The Germans: Patrick Heckmann tallied 9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal, Zach Ensminger had 9 points, 1 rebound and 3 assists and Adrian Petkovic chipped in 7 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals for the winners. At the other end, Nicholas Tischler collected 13 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists, and Filip Stanic had a solid outing with 9 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal.

Bamberg keep Clemons in check: Bamberg did a good job slowing down Chris Clemons. Oldenburg's main weapon came into the game averaging 21.9 points. The point guard was held to 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists, fouling out with 2:58 minutes to go and Oldenburg down just 88-82.

What's Up Next: The FIBA window starts Thursday next week and will give all teams some time off. Oldenburg will play their next game on the road at Fitness First Würzburg Baskets on Friday December 5. Bamberg meanwhile will next take the court on Monday December 8 at home against ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES.
