Frankfurt prevailed in a tight battle throughout with 7 points being the biggest lead to improve to 8-7 including 3-4 at home. Swope finished with a team-high 21 points while LeDee had 12 points and 12 rebounds. Chemnitz have now dropped two straight in the league for a 7-8 mark despite Kevin Yebo's 25 points.

Game Summary: The game was up-tempo and high scoring early on but back and forth as well with 8 lead changes. Jaedon LeDee had 5 points in the opening minutes for the hosts and Kostja Mushidi had two three-point plays as Chemnitz led 20-15. And the guests were up 28-22 after 10 minutes. The offensive fireworks slowed down a bit in the second quarter and Frankfurt reclaimed the lead 36-35 thanks to a strong Till Pape. That led to eight more lead changes and Frankfurt were up 49-45 at the break.
Neither team could pull away in the third quarter either with Kevin Yebo regularly scoring for the guests and the big man combo of LeDee and Pape providing enough offense for a 71-68 Frankfurt lead after 30 minutes. The game remained thrilling in the final frame with Nahiem Alleyne scoring six straight points for a 77-71 Frankfurt lead. Yebo missed a breakaway dunk that would have tied it at 79-79 but he evened the game 84-84 with a free throw. After Alleyne and Mushidi both hit two free throws, the stage was set for Isaiah Swope’s dramatics. He collected the inbounds pass and wildly shot from near the left sideline and banked in the three-pointer for the win.

Numbers Please: Chemnitz outshot Frankfurt 52 percent to 46 percent and also made 12 three-pointers to 5 for the hosts. But Frankfurt converted 24 of 29 free throws compared to 8 of 11 for Chemnitz. Frankfurt also scored 11 fast break points to 3 for the guests.

Player of the Game: Isaiah Swope led Frankfurt in scoring and hit the game-winner at the buzzer - easy choice for Player of the Game. The guard came off the bench for 21 points to go with 1 rebound and 3 steals.

The Germans: Till Pape collected 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in the win. At the other end, Kevin Yebo had a strong game with 25 points and 5 rebounds while Kostja Mushidi chipped in 19 points and 3 rebounds.

"The Tank" is back for Frankfurt: Frankfurt had a welcome face back in the lineup as Jaedon LeDee returned from a thumb injury. The center, whose nickname is "Der Panzer" ("The Tank") last played against BMA365 Bamberg Baskets on November 8 when he collected 20 points and 21 rebounds. LeDee came into the game as the third leading scorer (18.5 ppg) and leading rebounder (10.7 rpg) in the league. He finished the game with 12 points including 8 of 11 free throws, 12 rebounds - 6 of them coming off the offensive glass, 1 assist and 1 steal.

What's Up Next: Frankfurt's next game will be on Saturday January 17 at VET-CONCEPT Gladiators Trier. Chemnitz have an international game next up as they play at ratiopharm ulm on Wednesday January 14.
