BMA365 Bamberg Baskets gave their fans an early Christmas present by continuing their strong form with a 102-81 victory at Science City Jena. Bamberg took control of the game with a 25-5 run spanning the second and third quarters to improve to 6-4. Cobe Williams led the way with 24 points for Bamberg, who have won seven of their last nine games including two wins in reaching the German Cup TOP FOUR. Jena have now dropped three straight games in falling to 4-6 despite Joe Wieskamp picking up 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Game Summary: The first quarter was tight throughout and back-and-forth with eight lead changes and seven ties. Bamberg scored the final six points of the first quarter to lead 22-18. Bamberg scored the first basket of the second quarter to extend the advantage to six points. Joe Wieskamp had three baskets for the hosts but Bamberg did not let them reclaim the lead and went into the break ahead 38-32.
Cobe Williams had a big start to the second half with eight points in a 21-5 run to begin the third quarter. Austin Crowley added eight points of his own in keeping Bamberg comfortably ahead the rest of the period, which ended with the guests up 72-51. Jena could not get closer than 18 points in the fourth quarter.

Numbers Please: Bamberg committed only 6 turnovers while shooting 51 percent for the game including 63 percent on two-pointers. The guests also held Jena to just 39 percent from the field, including 28 percnt from long range. Bamberg also converted 22 of 26 free throws compared to 7 of 10 for Jena.

Player of the Game: While Austin Crowley scored 19 points and Demarcus Demonia added 18 points, Cobe Williams did plenty of everything for Bamberg. Not only did he drain 4 three-pointers for 24 points, but the point guard also grabbed 2 rebounds while dishing out 6 assists and 2 steals for an efficiency of 25.

The Germans: Zach Ensminger had another solid all-around game with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals while Daniel Keppeler scored 8 points with 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block and Adrian Petkovic added 5 points and 2 rebounds. At the other end, Lorenz Bank collected 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss.

Jena with lowest club budget for season, Bamberg lowest player budget: The easyCredit BBL released the planned budgets and total player salaries for the 2025-26 season and Jena had the lowest planned club budget at 4.26 million with 1.57 million for players - ranking fourth lowest. Bamberg's club budget is 5.58 million euros but their 1.46 million for players is lowest in the league.
