Fitness First Würzburg Baskets are happy that Brae Ivey is playing like an MVP candidate - just like last season. What an ending in Frankfurt as Isaiah Swope drained a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give SKYLINERS a thrilling win. And don’t look now but EWE Baskets Oldenburg have won five straight games.

Swope drains wild buzzer-beater, Frankfurt win
SKYLINERS had the perfect first home game of 2026 as Isaiah Swope drained a wild three-pointer at the buzzer in an 89-86 victory over NINERS Chemnitz in the return of star big man Jaedon LeDee. Frankfurt prevailed in a tight battle throughout with 7 points being the biggest lead to improve to 8-7 including 3-4 at home. Swope finished with a team-high 21 points while LeDee had 12 points and 12 rebounds. Chemnitz have now dropped two straight in the league for a 7-8 mark despite Kevin Yebo's 25 points.

MVP-caliber Ivey shines bright in Würzburg OT thriller at Vechta
Fitness First Würzburg Baskets shrugged off their third game in six days to win an overtime thriller 104-100 at RASTA Vechta. Würzburg, who played twice in the Basketball Champions League during the week, wasted a 12-point lead in the third quarter and finally prevailed in extra time after 11 lead changes and 13 ties. The guests won their second straight game in the Bundesliga and sixth in the last seven games for an 11-4 record. Brae Ivey poured in 25 points with 6 assists to lead the way for the winners and Davion Mintz added 18 points. Ivey is averaging 19.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals in the last four games - similar to the level from last season when he was a candidate for the league MVP. Vechta have dropped three of the last four games to fall to 6-8 including just 2-5 at home. The hosts could not take advantage of Alonzo Verge scoring 27 points with 11 assists and TJ Bamba had 22 points.

Make that five! Oldenburg win fifth straight, Wolves lose fifth in a row
EWE Baskets Oldenburg used a big start to the second half to fight off SYNTAINICS MBC for a 91-84 home victory to extend their winning streak to five games while the guests have now lost five consecutive games. Oldenburg scored the first 12 points of the third quarter to break the game open and held off a comeback attempt to improve to 6-9 including 3-5 at home - in front of a sell-out crowd for the 53rd game in a row. Nicholas Tischler scored 19 points and Chris Clemons added 18 points in the win. Weißenfels have dropped to 7-8 despite Spencer Reaves scoring 27 points.

Bayern win streak to 11 games despite offensive struggles versus Bonn
FC Bayern Basketball survived a poor offensive performance to beat Telekom Baskets Bonn 66-63 and extend their winning streak to 11 games. Bayern briefly led by 11 points early in the second half but the game was tight the rest of the time. Xavier Rathan-Mayes decided the game for Bayern with a three-pointer with 58 seconds on the clock to finish the scoring. Bayern committed 19 turnovers and the teams had a nightmare game from the outside, combining for 7 of 53 (13 percent) on three-pointers. Bayern moved to 14-1 as league leaders with a 7-0 home record while Bonn are 9-7 with two losses to Bayern since December 21. Andi Obst was the only Bayern player in double figures with 17 points while Jeff Garrett had 15 points for Bonn.

Ledlum’s monster double-double carries Ulm past Braunschweig
rartiopharm ulm kept some space from the cluttered middle third of the standings by using some strong defense to beat Basketball Löwen Braunschweig 72-59 at home. Braunschweig led for the first 29 minutes before Ulm went on a 9-0 run to take control of the game. Ulm, who had lost their last three games in all competitions, have won six of the last seven league games for a 9-6 record. Braunschweig have dropped three straight for a 4-11 record and six losses in the last seven games. Mark Smith scored 17 points and Christopher Ledlum collected 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Luka Scuka had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Crockett heats up in OT, leads Rostock to win at Jena
ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES took care of business as they hope to reach the post-season with an 89-82 overtime victory at Science City Jena thanks to some TJ Crockett heroics. Jena temporarily took a 12-point lead in the second quarter but Rostock were back ahead early in the third quarter and the rest of the game remained tight with DeAndre Lansdowne hitting a layup with 3.1 seconds to go for Rostock to force overtime. Crockett took over in the extra session with 11 points. Rostock have won back-to-back games for a 7-7 record after having lost their previous three games. Jena fell to 5-9 including a 1-5 mark at home with six losses in the last seven games. Crockett finished with 22 points and Lansdowne had 20 points in the win. Keith Braxton collected 23 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists off the bench for Jena and Eric Washington scored 20 points.

Ludwigsburg reach century mark for first time this season in win at Bamberg
MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg rolled to an easy victory on the road, reaching the century mark for the first time this season with a 100-79 win at BMA365 Bamberg Baskets. Ludwigsburg jumped ahead to a 17-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back in moving to 8-6 with their third win in the last four games while Bamberg have lost back-to-back games for a 7-7 record. Ludwigsburg dominated the glass with 22 offensive rebounds. Traveon Buchanan paced Ludwigsburg with 24 points while Babacar Sane had 19 points off the bench. Demarcus Demonia had 25 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.

Berlin depth too much for Heidelberg
ALBA BERLIN used their superior depth with 58 bench points in an 87-62 home win over MLP Academics Heidelberg, who have now lost six straight games. Berlin blew the game open with a 27-10 second quarter to improve to 10-5 with four wins in the last five games. Heidelberg are still waiting for their first road win at 0-7 away from home and 2-13 overall. Jack Kayil scored 19 points off the bench and Martin Hermannsson had 16 points. Ryan Mikesell led Heidelberg with 15 points in the loss.

Heavy snow postpones Hamburg home game vs Trier
Heavy snow in northern Germany resulted in the postponement of Veolia Towers Hamburg’s home game against VET-CONCEPT Gladiators Trier. The remake date for the game has not been announced yet.

Player(s) of the Week
Two players matched the same efficiency of 30 so Charles Thompson of Fitness First Würzburg Baskets and SYNTAINICS MBC’s Spencer Reaves share the Player of the Week honors for Round 15. Thompson collected 13 points on 6 of 10 shots and 1 of 2 free throws, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 5 blocks against RASTA Vechta while Reaves scored 27 points off the bench on 8 of 14 shots (6/9 threes) and 5 of 5 free throws to go with 1 rebound, 7 assists and 1 steal against EWE Baskets Oldenburg.

German Top Five of the Week
G: Malte Delow, ALBA BERLIN

Delow did some of everything for Berlin against MLP Academics Heidelberg with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

G: Andi Obst, FC Bayern Basketball
Obst was Bayern’s only player in double figures versus Telekom Baskets Bonn with 17 points, 1 assist and 2 steals.

F: Nicholas Tischler, EWE Baskets Oldenburg
Tischler continued his great play with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists versus SYNTAINICS MBC. He was just one point short of his career high and has averaged 17.8 points in the last five games.

F: Till Pape, SKYLINERS
Pape played a major role in Frankfurt’s win over NINERS Chemnitz with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

F: Kevin Yebo, NINERS Chemnitz
Yebo did all he could but his 25 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists were not enough in a loss to SKYLINERS.

Kayil came off the bench to lead Berlin in scoring with 19 points with 3 three-pointers to go with 4 rebounds and 1 assist against MLP Academics Heidelberg.

Christian Skladanowski, 21, SF, Fitness First Würzburg Baskets
Skladanowski started against RASTA Vechta and played 14:38 minutes, contributing 6 points on 3 of 3 shots, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Colin Schroeder, 19, PF, EWE Baskets Oldenburg
Schroder started against SYNTAINICS MBC and set career highs with 12:44 minutes, 4 points (on 1 of 2 shots and 2 of 2 free throws), 5 rebounds and 1 assist in his fifth game in the Bundesliga.

Germans Abroad
Ivan Kharchenkov has played well in his first season in college basketball as the former FC Bayern Basketball talent is averaging 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.1 steals with the University of Arizona. He scored 20 points against Denver back in late November and most recently collected 7 points and 6 assists against Texas Christian University. German basketball fans cane look forward to February 14 when Kharchenkov and Arizona face off against Texas Tech University and star German point guard talent Christian Anderson.
